On January 1, the newly elected officers will be joined by Chair Tricia Thomas, Chair-Elect Caroline Frances Jones, Past Chair Tracy Maleeff, Treasurer Geri Heberlie, and Director Dagfinn Senturia as our 2013 Legal Division Board of Directors.

Congratulations to SLA Legal Division member and former Chair, John DiGilio, for having been elected as Treasurer of the 2013 SLA Board of Directors!

The election for the Special Libraries Association (SLA) 2013 Board of Directors drew to a close on Wednesday, 26 September with 2,108 SLA members casting their votes. The voting resulted in four new members being elected to the association?s governing body:

• President-Elect: Kate Arnold
• Treasurer: John DiGilio
• Chapter Cabinet Chair-Elect: Kama Siegel
• Division Cabinet Chair-Elect: Tara Murray

The four new board members will begin their terms on 1 January 2013, and will meet in-person at the SLA Leadership Summit, 6-9 February 2013, in Dallas, Texas. They will join eleven current members of the SLA Board of Directors whose terms continue through 2013.

The 2012 SLA Legal Division Nominations Committee is pleased to announce the slate of candidates running for election to serve as your Board officers. The polls will be open on Monday, November 5 and will close Thursday, November 15 at 5 PM PST. The elected officers will take office on January 1, 2013. You should receive a link to the ballot via email.

Further nominations, accompanied by the written acceptance of the nominee, may be entered by petition of twenty-five (25) Division members and shall be filed with the Nominating and Elections Committee.

Each of the candidates has a strong service orientation to our Division, you as its members and our profession. Their experience, both professional and within the Association, has allowed the Nominations Committee to provide you with a slate of strong leaders.
